The gap we couldn’t ignore
It started with a trip to Rusape, Zimbabwe, in 2026.
What we found was more than a lack of period products. We met girls with dreams, determination and enormous potential, yet many faced barriers that made staying in school far more difficult than it should be.
Those conversations changed everything.
What began as a desire to provide period support became a bigger vision: helping girls overcome the barriers to education through practical support, opportunity and partnership with local communities.
That’s why Mukwa Foundation was created.
